New MOLA High-resolution Global Map


Using MOLA data through October of 2000, the Science Team has produced a very high resolution topographic shaded relief map of Mars that can be downloaded for general use. The map has a resolution 0.125° (300 dots per inch) and is shown as a mercator projection to latitude 70° north and south. Downloadble versions include an easily manageable .gif (231K) shown below, and a higher resolution .jpg (18 MB) obtained by clicking on the image credit. For a PC use shift-click and for a Mac use option-shift.
