MOLA Science Team at MGS End of Mission The MOLA Science Team met at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography on February 1-2, 2001 at the end of the Mars Global Surveyor mapping mission.

The MOLA Science Team met at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography on February 1-2, 2001 at the end of the Mars Global Surveyor mapping mission. The team reviewed the accomplishments of the MOLA investigation during the mapping mission and solidified plans for the extended mission. The Team also held a mini-workshop on the focused science topic: "The Timing of Events on Early Mars". Shockingly, the group made demonstrable progress on this question, and at some point you will hear more about this. Attendees include: (front row) Mike Carr, Jim Head, Greg Neumann, Maria Zuber, Matt Golombek, Catherine Johnson, Becky Williams, and Dave Smith. (Back row) Sean Solomon, Gordon Pettengill, Anton Ivanov, Roger Phillips, Bruce Banerdt, Peter Ford, Bruce Jakosky, Bruce Bills, Pat McGovern, Tom Duxbury and Bill Hutchinson.
